Anna Pavlovna is determined not to let it happen again. Her students (mostly orphaned kids - she adopted eleven children - and kids of nearby nomads) learn from a very early age what it takes to survive in the tundra: the girls maintain fire in chums, sew, cook, boys tend to the reindeer, build chums, hunt, and fish... Anna Pavolva integrates shamanism and Christianity in her philosophy, she teaches kids how to do ritual offerings at sacred places and how to pray at a school chapel... | |||||||
